How exercise can improve your attitude and marketing skills

I know for years I have spent time in the gym, or just found ways to exercise and stay fit because it has always given me a better attitude and sense of being.  What does this have to do with marketing?  I say everything, even though over the years I have heard every excuse in the book.

Here is a short biology lesson, exercise creates endorphins.    Endorphins can give you the positive sense of being you need to be good at affiliate marketing, or any kind of marketing at that.  When you feel good about yourself, you bring this positive attitude into everything you do in life.  I have friends who would prefer to sit around the house and sleep, watch tv, or surf the net.  That’s great, but it’s not productive.  When I go for an hour jog, I don’t come back tired, I come back motivated.  It gives me time to think, come up with ideas, and just clear my mind of all the negative encounters I may have experienced in that day.  To be good at marketing, you need to be able to have a clear mind and ability to concentrate.  If you don’t exercise, you may be sitting around letting your bad day interfere with any good ideas you may have been able to come up with.  I realize that exercise is not for everyone, and it seems strange to associate it with marketing, but it is relative, particularly if you consider the fact that the way you think is the way you are perceived by others and quite possibly the way your point may come across in print, or even in personal encounters while trying to achieve a marketing strategy.  I have friend that says he can’t exercise because his knees are bad.  I can assure you that there are other forms of exercise out there that can be performed that won’t interfere with that problem.  Have you heard the term ‘use it or lose it?’  This is true, bad knees does not mean stay mobile, you quit using something,  you will lose the ability to use them faster than if you do use them.  I’m not saying go out and start a running regiment, but what I am saying, find some form of fitness that works for you, and you will find yourself feeling so much better in just about everything you do.  This will increase your marketing productivity, and even make you healthier.

In short, everyone is always looking for a better way, and with attitude playing a large roll in finding better ways, exercise is a perfect free option to helping you to stay focused in your marketing technique, and a great way to keep you driving toward your goals.  Healthy minds and bodies can go a long way.

Using a clever subject on your bulk e-mail marketing, to drive traffic to your affiliate website

One of the hardest things to do in e-mail marketing is to get your
e-mails read. It’s not as easy as just writing your body, and then
sending it out. The goal is to get the receiver to open the e-mail so
you can drive traffic to your affiliate or personal web site. The
subject line must jump out at the reader. You must give them reason
top open it if you are to have a successful marketing campain.

Think about it, how many e-mails do you delete because they don’t
look important. The subject line must draw attention to itself. Most
people are looking for a solution for themselves, or even something
that makes them feel interested. You can draw more traffic to your
affiliate site if you can draw attention with a catchy subject line.
Don’t explain the e-mail in the subject, but the subject should be
related to the e-mail. One thing I started doing is to write down any
e-mail subject phrase that made me want to open it. I received one
recently from a marketer named Josh Cope that read, ‘Your job
sucks’, I didn’t even think twice, I opened it. The subject
immediately made me curious, so I felt impelled to see what the e-mail
was about. I won’t go into that, but the bottom line is, what is it
that will make you want to open an e-mail. Don’t you think that if
you would write a subject line that would make you want to open the
letter, that others would as well? A good marketer knows you don’t
want to blend in with all the other e-mails sitting in the in box. If
you are using HTML settings, it also great to personalize the e-mail
by using the first name in the subject. This is simple to do:
[FIRST_NAME], this will set it up for you providing the receiver has
an account where an actual name is involved in the service. Using
this feature, you will also need to make sure the subject flows, and
doesn’t sound forced. Here’s an example: Hey [FIRST_NAME], you
wouldn’t believe what I found. When the recipient receives the
mail, it will put there name on it, and they will be curious as to
what you found since it seems to involve them. There are a lot of
proven to work phrases out there, I won’t go into that, since it’s
already been done and available. I feel it is best to come up with
something original, I mean people start to recognize a sales e-mail
with many of the over used phases out subject lines. Think about it
this way, if you would not open it because it seems to be a rerun, why
would anyone else open it. Some other things to remember, keep it
short, don’t say to much, or the reader may feel they know what it
is about, and not bother to open the e-mail.

I hope you can see how to get the most out of your e-mail marketing
campaign by using these easy guide lines. Here’s a recap, keep it
short, relevant, original, catchy and personalized. If you can do
this, you will have more visitors to your affiliate web site, and
drive more traffic from a simple email. I will in later write about
how to build an interesting sales letter body for your e-mail, until
then, here’s to your success!

5 step mindset to success

Being successful takes quite a few key ingredients that may vary in the minds of some. Does It take brains, or just common sense? Does it take money or just the strong desire to do better for yourself? It's a number of things, but that is not what this is about. The key ingredient overlooked is......attitude! You can have almost everything you need to succeed, but if you don't have the attitude to get there, you probably won't get there. How can you correct this problem? I'd like to outline this for you in my article.

Item number one, never say "I can't do that." In most cases when something is new to someone, they become scared of the challenge. Some people are afraid to start something new because they don't feel they can succeed. When the challenge of failure happens during the trial stages, some people say "that's it, I can't do this." When learning something new, failure is part of the learning curve. Your failures are actually lessons so you know what not to do again. Cross them off the list and try something else. Keep a positive outlook, and keep moving ahead, even when you have road blocks. You will catch on.

Item number two, never listen to what other people have to say unless it is truly useful information. Many people will try to pursued you to not better yourself because they don't want to be left behind. If they can keep you down to their level, they are much happier. You have to learn to overlook the negative critics. You must always keep the positive view of what you are doing in mind, not everyone will understand or agree with what you do. It doesn't matter. Letting other people pursued you to other paths outside your goals of success will never bring you to where you want to be. Don't let them bring you down, remember what drove you to the goals of success to begin with.

Item number three, curve negative thoughts from your life. It's hard to believe sometimes how hard it is to break old habits. As you grow older, you are programmed to think a certain way just by the way you are raised. It's like a smoker trying to quit smoking. Anyway, the point is, you start to think negative and have no control over this. You have to give yourself what I call a mental Enema. Flush the bad and negative ways of thinking out of your head, and start answering questions and thoughts with positive words. You may want to listen to positive thinking tapes or cd's to get this kind of thinking to stick with you. Even read books to help adjust your thinking process. Think of it this way, do you really enjoy hearing someone complaining about their life every time you see them? This can become habit, and every time you open your mouth all of this negative 'yuck' comes pouring out. How can you have any positive hopes or aspirations when you think like this? People will even enjoy your presence more if you are a positive person. Who do others look up to and ask questions when they are confused about something? You know it's not the negative person, it's the positive one, they are pleasant and inspiring.

Item number four, listen to people who inspire you. The kind of you like to be around and talk to, friends, business associates and acquaintances. Positive people will rub off on you. I was just around a person the other day that made me realize this. It was business lunch, and when everyone got together I asked the man hosting the lunch how are you doing? He replied "just excellent." Could you imagine if the reply would have been, "just terrible", or "I've seen better days." Would you really want to be there? This could have even started one of those I've got it worse conversations. Who wants to brag about having it worse, or even want to have it worse. Find the good in any situation, even if it's just a learning experience. My point is, if you are around people that carry a positive vibe, it will be contageous, and make you feel good. Even listening to positive music or positive thinking audio can be a good way to keep your thoughts in line.

Item number five, Keep your goals in mind. Think about the rewardsthat you want from your success. Picture the car, home or even the special trip you want to take. Keep moving forward with your goals. If you feel that you are straying, stop, and close your eyes. Picture the good things you want in your life that make you feel good. You will find it puts you back on track to your pathway to success.

Your attitude is everything, keep this positive mindset, and reach your goals with a smile on your face. You will always run into rough times, but remember to learn from these experiences, as this is why they happen. You can't succeed by doing nothing, your attitude is key!
